5 Easy Ways to Know When to Clear Negative Energy from Your Body

 

We all carry energy that doesn't always match the vibration of what we’re trying to attract. We get it from many places… it’s the negative energy we’ve picked up at work, it’s the emotional blockages that are already stuck in our bodies and it’s the experiences from our past that are still stuck in our cellular memory. But I’ve found that there is such power in taking care of yourself and learning when to clear the negativity out of your energy field and chakras so that you can live a happier life.

Ever felt irritated without a known cause? Suddenly angry for no reason? What about a heaviness that you’ve picked up and just can’t seem to shake? 

These are a few examples of when you need to clear negative energy from your body and chakras.

Practicing good self-care and being aware of when your vibration is low can empower you and give you the strength to shift your energy to a higher, positive vibration so that you can feel better faster!

HOW CLEARING NEGATIVE ENERGY CAN HELP YOU

First, let me tell you, this isn’t a one-time and your done type of exercise, this needs to be a consistent self-care practice in your life. Removing negative energy, releasing it from your body, and protecting your energy will likely be something you need to do on a weekly, if not daily basis. And trust me, it’s easy to want to avoid the initial work required to clear your system and continue clearing, adjusting, and shifting your energy but at some point, you’re going to realize that it’s not others that are holding you back, it’s you. You have the capability to protect and clear your energy field! 

I’m going to walk you through 5 easy ways to know when to clear negative energy from your body that I’ve used to reset my energy levels (and I’ve recommended these to my clients, too!)

5 Easy Ways to Know When to Clear Negative Energy from Your Body

1.WHEN YOU NOTICE A FEELING THAT FEELS OUT OF PLACE

Every day we interact with people, places, and things so how do you know if they’re negatively affecting you? By paying attention to how you feel. For example, let’s say you’re in a good mood, at work, and start chatting with a co-worker. The co-worker is unhappy with their job, has an unhealthy lifestyle, and is often pessimistic. You leave the meeting finding that your good mood is long gone and instead, has been replaced with unhappiness and pessimism. You were fine before the meeting-right? Wondering what happened? You’ve just taken on the negative energy of your co-worker, and it will likely stay with you until you clear it from your system.

When you notice a feeling that feels out of place you can also do a self-check. Who were you just interacting with? What were you thinking about? Where were you? Could it have been your environment or a person?

Be curious. You’ll be able to notice quickly, especially if you are used to working with your energetic field and you encounter something or someone with a lower frequency, as energy always moves from a higher vibration to a lower vibration until they stabilize at the same level.

2. WHEN YOU’RE FEELING DEPLETED

So often there are people in our lives that drain our energy. This is normal and I bet you probably already know who they are for you.

But if you don’t know and find that you’re feeling depleted often, look deeper. Pay attention to your energy levels before and after interactions with other people. 

Do some people leave you feeling positive and uplifted whereas others leave you feeling drained and depleted? Do you notice how some interactions tend to play out the same way every time? Or do you avoid people for no apparent reason?

Once we strip the personality away and look at the energy, we can see that the source of our depletion is due to negative energy we’ve picked up and need to clear from our aura. If you are already feeling drained, anxious, or depressed, you don’t need to figure out the source, cleanse your chakras anyway to regain the balance you need and increase your vibration then start paying attention.

3. AFTER YOU’VE BEEN AROUND A GROUP OF PEOPLE

Now is the part that you’re probably already familiar with, especially if you’re empathic and sense other people's emotions easily. And as you know, the trouble with being able to sense others’ emotions is that sometimes, we allow them to stick to us and take them on as if they were our own!

Remember - you are in control of your energy. Sometimes it takes us feeling overwhelmed or getting sick to remind ourselves that we must intentionally cleanse energetically to heal and shift to more positive energy. Here are some ways I clear negative energy.

4. WHEN CARING FOR SOMEONE WHO’S SICK

Your energy field requires maintenance just like your physical body to prevent depletion and feeling drained. Even though you may eat well, get lots of sleep, and exercise regularly, if you’re taking care of someone who is not feeling well, you may want to increase the frequency of clearing low vibrational energy from your aura and chakras. 

Why? When you spend time around things and people that are unwell, neglected, toxic, or angry, it will affect you physically and the depletion of energy will show up in your body as tiredness, sadness, depression, and can eventually lead to illness.

Ideally, surround yourself with people, places, and situations that are positive, support you, boost your energy, and perk you up but if you can’t, cleanse, cleanse, and cleanse some more!

5. WORKING WITH THE PUBLIC

It’s time to chat about the energetic impact of working with the public. Maybe you have people coming into your home as my massage therapist does? Perhaps you work in a retail store? Or a coffee shop or a grocery store or even interact with people online? Guess what? Energetically, it doesn’t matter, the negativity will feel the same!

When I was in university, I worked a retail job selling women’s clothes. Some customers were pleasant and easy to work with and some were challenging, difficult, and angry. Back then I didn’t have the awareness to notice what I was feeling and instead, I took on their moods as my own and I’d go home feeling grumpy, tired, and take it out on my family. That’s why I want to share with you that if you work with the public as I did, the key to maintaining health is to make negative energy clearing a daily practice.

One last thing… energetic balance and spiritual healing isn’t a place you simply arrive at; it’s moment-to-moment awareness and something you need to actively do as you go through life. You don’t just cleanse negative energy from your aura and then boom, you’re cured and that’s that. The only way to keep your vibration up and stay positive and balanced is to actively and intentionally identify when you’re feeling it, take steps to clear unfavorable energy from your system, and replace it with higher vibrating positive energy instead.
